#VisibleLocalTrusted | Recently, PCSO Chad Carrington was contacted by Lexi after her daughter, Chloe, shared her concerns about the recent wildfires and the impact they can have on wildlife and local animals. Chloe had even created some wonderful paintings to express her thoughts and support.
We felt that a simple thank you by email just wasn't enough.
With the fantastic support of James, Adam and Mark from Rugeley Fire Station (@Staffordshire Fire and Rescue), we were able to arrange a special visit for Chloe and her mum to the fire station.
During the visit, Chloe had the opportunity to meet firefighters and police officers, learn more about the vital work carried out by the emergency services, and take a closer look at the specialist kit used by firefighters. She was also shown both the fire service and police vehicles, giving her a behind-the-scenes insight into how we work together to help keep our communities safe.
It was a pleasure to meet Chloe and see first-hand her passion for protecting wildlife and caring for the environment. Young people like Chloe are a real credit to our communities, and we would like to thank her for taking the time to share her concerns and artwork with us.
A big thank you also goes to our colleagues at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service for helping make the visit so memorable.
